Housing Advice

We empower the community by educating individuals about their housing rights through our partnership with Shelter. Shelter chose to collaborate with us due to our strong community reach, particularly as ethnic minority families are disproportionately affected by housing issues in Birmingham.

We provide specialist housing support, including one-to-one advice and workshops on topics such as temporary accommodation and housing disrepair. In addition, we have made key documents accessible to communities for whom English is not a first language.

Since launching in late 2023, we have supported over 900 people from diverse ethnic backgrounds. Our work was one of three initiatives highlighted by the Mayor of the West Midlands.

For our one-to-one housing advice sessions, 97% of attendees found the support helpful in addressing their housing concerns.
